WHO: Mayor John DeStefano, Jr.
Dr. Reginald Mayo, Superintendent of Schools
Special guests including national and state elected officials, CEOs,
Presidents of institutions, New Haven Residents, Educators, More than
200 students and other very recognizable leaders representing national,
regional and local communities

WHAT: At this event, a groundbreaking announcement will be made that
will answer the questions: “What makes a city great? What does it take
to help move an entire city forward into a new generation?” This will
be an announcement of national interest that will change New Haven and
the region forever. The details of the announcement are being kept
confidential until the Tuesday morning event. This event will be shown
live on several City-operated websites and will be viewed by every
student at every New Haven Public School because the subject of this
event will completely change their lives, their families and their
neighborhoods.
