Join Sanctuary Kitchen for a Film Screening of "We Are Not Princesses." This film offers a unique peek into the private lives of women who have survived unspeakable sorrow, yet blossom through the healing power of art. During a theater workshop in a Lebanese refugee camp, four Syrian women discover they have a lot in common with the Ancient Greek heroine, Antigone.
Following the film, there will be a talk-back moderated by Elsie Morrison, PHD, Assistant Professor Yale Theater Studies, with film director Bridgette Auger; IRIS-Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services, and Syrian Sanctuary Kitchen chef Abir.
Guests will also enjoy a reception of traditional Syrian dishes. Please register through Eventbrite. Much more information is on the Eventbrite page. Search film screenings.
