A Diverse Fair Haven Community with Historic Homes and a Beautiful Waterfront
Screenprinting is a printmaking process that allows you to print on just about any flat surface, including garments such as T-Shirts. The images are created by pushing ink through a stencil, creating a look that is often colorful and bold. The image can be reprinted many times fairly quickly. The process can easily be duplicated at home with the right equipment and a small amount of DIY initiative. This course will cover all the basics of the process, including choosing images, creating the screen stencil, printing on paper with water based ink and printing on fabric with plastisol ink. Participants will leave with a reusable 10" by 14" screen with their design. MakeHaven will supply inks and paper. Those wishing to also print to fabric should bring their own cotton-blend t-shirt(s) to print on. This class is taught by Michael Angelis. $60.00 non-members. $45.00 members. Sale ends July 19.
