Sewage Leak into Mill River Update

Message from  Mayor Justin Elicker.

There has been a large discharge of sewage into the Mill River near the Whitney Dam. Over 2 million gallons of sewage have been discharged into the river. The Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority fixed the pipe earlier today so there is no longer any sewage leaking into the River. If you are self-employed, gig performer, or independent contractor you can now apply for unemployment under the PUA. Here are the steps….

1. Apply for regular unemployment first-blue button on the state unemployment site

Message from the Mayor: Requirement to Wear Masks In Stores

Today I issued an emergency order requiring people to use facemasks in essential retail businesses, including grocery stores, big-box stores, restaurants, pharmacies, gas stations, convenience stores, and package stores.
