Fair Haven is a Diverse Community with a Rich History and a Beautiful Waterfront

Hi all

I'm an out-of-town member of the community, having enjoyed a great stay with my family with the Janke family back in 2008.  I am a keen birder and noted some of the species that can be found in neighbourhood.  Has anyone created a bird list, and if not, would anyone like me to submit mine?

This would be great. We've seen falcons, vultures, osprey, and hawks, and at one point in the spring we saw what looked like a giant flying turkey perched way up in the tree behind our house. Might have been a pheasant.

Bird watching would be a great activity to encourage visitors to do -- visitors going to local restaurants and visitors to the Mary Wade Home.

The Bird List would be awesome.  For the first time, I saw three pairs of Baltimore Orioles in the cherry tree in Mary Wade Home's back yard, near the Atwater Street side.  Many Osprey sitings. I saw a falcon most of the winter on Pine Street between Atwater and Clinton.  Currently, we have a flock of grackle in our fountain.

Yes please do send your list. It might be helpful in promoting the neighborhood and for our child science education program. Thank you.
