I have long been interested in doing some sort of program in Chatham Square, but with our stretched resources it just hasn't happened. Our 50th Anniversary seems to have brought a renewed sense of purpose and energy and I am very hopeful that this will carry us forward in the coming years.
Our calendar is pretty full this year, but I would like to talk to you more about planning something for next year. I think a tour is certainly possible -- either as part of Arts & Ideas, as a stand-alone Trust tour, or as something offered in conjunction with an event in CS.
I've lived in New Haven all my life actually, in fair haven for 5 years in ward 14. Now I live in the Hill, however, I am a Realtor and I work at Rosa Realty, LLC so our office does market a lot of fair haven, which is what has brought me to join chatham square. Prior to joining Rosa Realty full time, I was employed by the City of New Haven, 3 years at the Bd of Ed and 8 yrs at Corp. Counsel. Hope all is well, talk to you soon.
NHHR is happy to be part of the Chatham Sq. neighborhood. We are awaiting word from HUD on the operating subsidies for 76 Perkins and will then begin to fill the units. Please contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns. Kellyann Day, Executive Director, NHHR, email@example.com
Great to "discover" this group. While I live across the river on Lenox, I've been involved with historic preservation and neighborhood revitalization since the early 1970s when I bought my first house on Capitol Hill in DC. In my third career, I am now a Realtor and actually have some clients interested in the Lewis St house so am trying to contact the folks who are involved in this project. I'd also be happy to offer any no obligation Realtor assistance (market analysis, etc, marketing suggestions).
Hi Lee, I had the pleasure of staying with the Janke's with my wife and son back in 2008. I admire Ken's work there and the tremendous community spirit you have. Simply wanted to show some solidarity with that. My good friends are Micha & Jayne Jazz who also live in the UK and are part of the community.
Thanks Lee. I am a good friend of Ken Janke and Eric Neubauer. I live in England but love all that you are doing. When I visit and stay with Ken, Lori and family, I love the neighborhood. The website helpfully keeps me in touch with the vibrant Chatham Square community. Cheers Micha
thank you Lee, after over 30 years plus keeping up with neighborhood friends and issues thought it was time to join the computer network of things--not sure if we even had electricity when I moved in but I do know the dining room ceiling gas line is safely plugged!!-Grandma
Hi Lee - thanks for the welcome! Unfortunately, it's hard for us to make meetings at this point because of our 10-month-old twins but I follow the CSNA news via my email and look forward to being a more active member in the future .... is there a group in Chatham Square for mother's with young children? I'd love to find out and try to meet others in the area with kids ....
Keep an eye out for notice here about the NEW Restaurant in the same location
