Help with Yard Work/Outdoors Work for Elderly
Students at Wilbur Cross are very eager to help the community and also get credit for community service. Applicants of the New Haven Promise have to complete a total of 40 hours to meet scholarship requirements. The student at our school are looking for opportunities to do yard work or other outdoors work for elderly, those with Covid-19 and/or community service agencies. I hope that you will be able to spread the word and help us to connect with those that can use the services we offer.
The contact person is Ms. Lisa Chester at LISA.CHESTER@new-haven.k12.ct.us. She will be very happy to coordinate with anyone who is looking for help and answer any questions that they may have. Lisa is also an English teacher at Wilbur Cross.

Great idea! Maybe we can get them to help us with a neighborhood cleanup in the Spring. We did this a couple times back when Sheila and her friends needed those points :)
