Hi there again - I have to share an email with you that I received from one of our QRWA board members and volunteers, David James. David has been advocating for the Q River since he was a boy and heads up our river clean up efforts every year. This is what he had to say about his experience at the riverfest last year

As an outsider, and volunteer participant in the 2012 Riverfest I can only report excitement at the direction of this initiative. In a time when individuals and families seem to be drawing inward in fear of constant social unrest, here is a group of neighbors actively engaged in community building, both physical and social. The results are evident. This is real community revitalization, as opposed to expensive, top down,  politically mandated reform.This can do nothing but improve the New Haven area.

Hello Dear Friend at Chatham Square,

The folks from the Quinnipiac River Watershed Association (QRWA) will be there along with our canoes and to support you and all you do for your community and the Q River! Also getting the word out to our members to join us at the Q River Marina for wonderful opportunity to see a different part of the river.
