Event Description
The 11th Anual Planning Retreat:
- Alder Reveiz will lead a group in the creation of an action plan that he will implement with our support. The goal is to push City Hall on the redevelopment of the Strong School district (Grand Avenue from Atwater St. to Quinnipiac Avenue). Participate in this group if Grand Avenue in general or the Strong School building in particular is of interest to you.
- Beth Pellegrino will lead a discussion regarding the success of our fundraising efforts and how we might work with United Way of Greater New Haven to create a transparent, and simple ways for our community to fund Fair Haven resident led, community building activities. Join this group to help guide the development of community building in Fair Haven.
- We will also do our traditional review of community activities in 2018 and develop the 2019 calendar of events. staff of local agencies including the Mary Wade Home, Fair Haven Community Health Care, Junta, the Land Trust, City Seed and our very own Fair Haven Library will be joining us in an effort to create a comprehensive calendar of Fair Haven events.
There will be food. but as is our tradition we welcome additional gifts of food from attendees. Childcare will be provided and their will be door prizes for those who stay till the end.
Facilitators and presenters are bilingual (English\Spanish).
