Event Description
New to woodworking? Looking to make a custom, handmade piece to give as a gift or level up your own kitchen?
In this introductory class, Akeera will take you through the steps of making your very own cutting board, while showing you how to use a planer, table saw, chop saw, and sander. You'll then finish your cutting board with mineral oil.
Participants will leave class with their own 10” x 12” handmade cutting board!
Materials and safety goggles are provided.
No experience necessary. It’s a great opportunity for those looking to get started in the woodshop but who may feel intimidated or those who prefer directed learning. There is a scheduled break roughly half-way for lunch.
