SUMMARY:All A-Gourd: Learn Pyrography (Woodburning Squash)
DESCRIPTION:Gourd pyrography, or wood burning on gourds, is the freeha
 nded art of decorating gourds with burn marks using various heated to
 ols. This workshop will provide an overview of the art of gourd pyrog
 raphy and allow participants to wood burn their own design into a dri
 ed gourd of their choice. Participants will learn how to use a wood b
 urning tool, how to deal with the somewhat tricky surface of gourds, 
 and how to stain and seal their gourd design. Participants are encoura
 ged to bring seasonal leaves or flowers to use in their designs, or t
 hey may draw and trace their own designs directly on the gourd. Vario
 us gourd shapes and sizes will be available for participants to choos
 e from, including those ready to become bird houses or decorative bow
 ls. \nNo experience is necessary, this is an ideal starting workshopÂ
  for someone newly interested in wood burning gourds. Each participan
 t will leave with 2 decorative gourd to display and use as they see f
