Event Description
This session will draw on the experiences of a panel of game designer who have brought a game to market. The panelists have a variety of different experience in the choices game makers face. Each will share the experience of their path, which will be followed by a moderated discussion. Topics will include:
- Moving from concept to prototype
- Play testing prototypes
- Copyright, patent or open source
- Options manufacturing and printing
- Self publishing vs Big Publishers
- Crowd fundraising
- Distribution and marketing of independent games
This will be of interest to anyone with a board game idea or design who is curious about the process and options for bringing the game to the masses.
