 l use of a Bridgeport Milling Machine.\nStudents who successfully comp
 ete this class will earn the Bridgeport Mill badge, allowing ongoing u
 se for members. No previous experience required, however MakeHaven mem
 bers must complete theÂ online information and quizÂ to complete badgi
 ng. Â \nThe Learning Objectives are as follows:\n\nIdentify the locati
 ons and function of the milling machine's E-stop\nIdentify and demonst
 rate proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)\nExplain and Id
 entify Lock Out-Tag Out procedure and guidelines for the milling machi
 ne\nList/adhere to all shop/lab safety rules established by Make Haven
 \nIdentify the location and function of the components on the mill\nDe
 monstrate safe insertion and removal of cutting tools\nDemonstrate ade
 quate clamping/fixturing procedure of work-piece\nDemonstrate proper s
 tart up and speed selection sequence for both belt driven and variable
 -speed spindles\nIdentify and confirm proper spindle rotation for inte
 nded cutting tool\nIdentify and explain the function of machines preve
 ntative maintenance (TPM) requirements\nDemonstrate the accurate and s
 afe squaring of the machine's vise\nDemonstrate and explain the need f
 or accurate edgefinding of a workpiece\nDemonstrate proper care and us
 e of precision measuring tools (dial indicator, micrometer, dial calip
 er)\nReference the Machinists Handbook for proper tool selection / cut
