Fix it, don't toss it! Join our Second Community Repair Fair @ MakeHaven w/ Yale Engineering volunteers. Learn hands-on repair skills & fix items together. Free event - pre-register for your 30-min slot!
We're thrilled to partner with the Yale Engineering, whose talented student volunteers will be on hand to share their skills and guide you through the repair process.
How It Works: The "Fix-It Clinic" Model
This isn't a drop-off service! Think of this as a collaborative learning workshop. You bring an item, and together with our volunteer coaches, you'll diagnose the problem and work towards a fix.
You participate: Be prepared to work on your item with guidance.
Volunteers guide: Our skilled volunteers are here to advise and assist, sharing their knowledge. They are enthusiastic helpers, not certified professionals.
Learn new skills: The goal is education and empowerment, reducing waste one repair at a time!
Take it home: All items must leave with their owners at the end of their slot; we cannot store items.
To ensure everyone gets dedicated attention, advance registration is required for a specific 30-minute time slot between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
