SUMMARY:Cup-tivating Creations: Ceramic Handbuilding Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Ana in making a set of hand-built ceramic mugs! This 
 class is for the beginner potter or those with some previous knowledge
 . We will learn how to roll out a slab of clay, compress, and cut piec
 es of clay using templates. 
What to Expect:
Even using templates,
  there will be plenty of room for origination and creative risk-taking
  with exciting possibilities! We will also learn how to apply glaze ov
 er-top our leather hard clay bodies and the many different ways one ca
 n approach glazing: sgraffito, all-over patterning, ombre etc. Bring a
  friend along and enjoy the process together. This class is about gett
 ing our hands dirty, having fun through the process and making somethi
 ng beautiful.

Over the course of two consecutive Tuesday evenings
  from 6pm to 9pm, you'll embark on an immersive journey into the art o
 f ceramic hand building. Each session will begin with a brief introduc
 tion to the techniques and concepts you'll be exploring that day, ensu
 ring you're well-prepared to dive into the creative process. You'll st
 art by rolling out slabs of clay, a foundational skill that forms the 
 basis of your mug-making endeavor. With expert guidance, you'll learn 
 how to manipulate the clay, cut precise pieces using templates, and as
 semble them into mug shapes of your own design. Throughout the worksho
 p, you'll receive personalized instruction and feedback to help you re
 fine your techniques and bring your creative vision to life. Expect a 
 supportive and collaborative atmosphere where you'll have the opportun
 ity to share ideas, troubleshoot challenges, and celebrate each other'
 s progress. By the end of the workshop, you'll not only have crafted y
 our own set of unique ceramic mugs but also gained confidence in your 
 ability to express yourself through the medium of clay.\nSkills You'll

 mug forms.\nProficiently roll out clay slabs and shape them into mugs 
 using slab-building techniques.\nExplore various glazing techniques to
  add unique finishes and textures.\nLearn proper clay handling and car
 e techniques.\nCultivate creative problem-solving and adaptability thr

No prior experience is requ
 ired to participate in this workshop. However, participants should com

 Closed-toe shoes are recommended, and wearing clothes that can get mes
