Event Description
This Friday, July 21 at 2:00pm, Senator Chris Murphy will be hosting a roundtable meeting in Fair Haven regarding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy, or DACA. This is the Obama-era executive order that establishes lawful presence for “DREAMers” and other undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children.
While the DACA program remains in place right now, the fate of the program is uncertain and the only way to truly protect DACA students is through legislative action. Senator Murphy needs to hear from you to bring your stories back to Washington, defend this critical program, and fight for the legislative changes to protect it.
