Join us in our mission to reduce landfills by reimagining the potential of scraps at MakeHaven's textiles area! At this special meetup, we'll come together to transform abundant textile scraps into something incredibly useful: reusable food wraps, helping to curb plastic wrap consumption and promote sustainability.
What to Expect:
Prepare to roll up your sleeves and get creative! During this meetup, we'll harness the power of upcycling by repurposing textile scraps into practical and eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastics. Together, we'll learn how to craft reusable food wraps that are not only functional but also contribute to reducing waste in our environment.
Goals of the Meetup:
The goals of this meetup are clear:
- Upcycle textile scraps to give them a new life and purpose.
- Take a stand against single-use plastics by creating reusable alternatives.
- Promote the importance of reusability and sustainability in our daily lives.
Preferred Day/Time:
Join us on Tuesday, April 9th, from 6 PM to 9 PM for an evening of creativity and environmental stewardship.
Duration & Occurrence:
This meetup is just the beginning! It's part of a Plastics/Reuse series that will occur every month on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. So mark your calendars and make a commitment to join us in our ongoing efforts to make a positive impact on our planet.
Let's come together to turn scraps into something meaningful and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. See you there!
