DOULAGIVERS LEVEL 1 END-OF-LIFE DOULA TRAINING is a Free community event, designed for families, caregivers, community volunteers and anyone interested in learning to support and care for loved ones facing the end of their lives.
Because we are or will all be touched by death throughout our lifetime. What is the best way to overcome the fear out of end-of-life? - Education and Pre-planning.
Join Care Consultant and EOL Doula Nathalie Bonafe, and her colleague Ingrid Harrison on April 28 for this Doulagivers® Community Education Program, the first one held in New Haven CT. Lunch/snacks will be provided.
DETAILS:
Learn how to care for someone who has been diagnosed with a life threatening disease through all three phases of end-of-life. The information presented in this training is appropriate for everyone: family, caregivers, volunteers, and community members. Participants will learn about the three phases of end-of-life and the interventions they can use to provide comfort and support to both the patient and their loved ones. This workshop empowers individuals to embrace the concept of community; caring for each other at the end of life.
What you will learn:
The three (3) phases of end-of-life:
o The Shock Phase
o The Stabilization Phase
o The Transition Phase.
What interventions can be used in each of the three (3) phases to ensure optimal comfort and care.
Application of the learning through the use of case studies with real end-of-life scenarios to reinforce the knowledge presented.
This training is presented by Doulagivers®lead Trainers Nathalie M. Bonafe, Certified Care Consultant, Elder Care Doula and End-of-Life Doula in New Haven, CT and Ingrid Harrison, Certified End-of-Life Doula from Woodbridge, CT.
