Join the Book Club for an informal discussion of The Day the World Came to Town. Jim DeFede’s book chronicles 9/11 when the small town of Gander, Newfoundland received thousands of stranded airline passengers who had been headed to the US. Get details on the hospitality and goodwill shown to strangers during a dark time in history. This true story formed the basis of the recent musical production “Come from Away”. Light refreshments.
