Embark on a journey into the world of 3D design with our "Mastering SOLIDWORKS: Fundamentals of 3D Part Modeling" workshop. SOLIDWORKS stands as the industry standard for 3D design, and this workshop is your gateway to unlocking its vast potential. Whether you're charting a course for a STEAM career or simply eager to dive into the realm of 3D modeling, this fundamentals module is tailored for those new to 3D solid modeling.
What to Expect:
This workshop focuses on the essentials of creating a 3D parametric model using SOLIDWORKS. Guided by engaging lectures and demonstrations, participants will delve into hands-on tutorials, culminating in the creation and 3D printing of individual part files. The practical, step-by-step approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of SOLIDWORKS fundamentals.
Skills You'll Acquire:
2D Sketch Constriction: Learn to create fully constrained 2D sketches as the foundation for 3D solid models. Gain insights into sketching techniques and constraints.
3D Solid Modeling: Master the art of transforming 2D sketches into intricate 3D solid models. Explore techniques for efficient and accurate modeling.
Treatment Features: Add the perfect finishing touches to your models using treatment features like rounds, chamfers, and more. Enhance the aesthetics and functionality of your designs.
Various Hole Types: Dive into the world of creating holes in 3D solid models. Understand the nuances of adding different hole types to meet your design requirements.
Advanced 3D Features: Explore advanced 3D features, including swept and lofted features, as time permits. Elevate your modeling skills with these powerful techniques.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop caters to anyone new to 3D solid modeling, whether you're a student, professional, or hobbyist eager to explore the capabilities of SOLIDWORKS.
What's Provided:
Participants are required to bring a laptop with SOLIDWORKS downloaded. We have a very limited number of laptops that can be lent out for this workshop. Please email events@makehaven.org to let us know if you need to take advantage of this option.
