Event Description
Tinker Cad is a free online basic design program for creating 3d models from basic shapes. This software is great for people of all ages with no previous Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience.
This session will be an introduction to Tinker Cad with an eye to what is needed for someone doing models for 3d printing.
In this session we will cover:
- Adding shapes
- Grouping and subtracting shapes
- Rotation and manipulation
- Dimensions and sizing
- Alignment
- Importing STL
- Importing SVG
- Exporting to STL (for 3d printing)
