Greetings folks,
We are entering our 16th festival and there are many exciting things that will be happening in and around New Haven in June. You'll hear more about that later.
I'm writing to alert you to a wonderful program for select high school juniors and seniors to get a behind the scenes look at the festival as a participant. We have 3 students so far and are looking for 5 more. Not only is this an opportunity to learn more about this world renowned arts organization and how the festival comes together, those who complete will receive recognition from the Board of Aldermen AND $500.
This is our second year doing the Fellowship program. Two of the participants last year are now paid interns with the festival and more will be hired this summer so this could also possibly lead to other opportunities with the festival.
This program is made possible with funds from Workforce Alliance. Unfortunately that means they come with very strict guidelines. See attached documents for the income requirements and more info on the program.
Please get this in the hands of folks who work with this demographic and encourage them to apply.
