DESCRIPTION:In this six-week, hands-on series, students will be introd
 uced to the fundamentals of metalworking through guided projects and p
 ractice. Youâ€™ll learn the safe use of a MIG welder, angle grinder, a
 nd drill press while exploring the basics of shaping and joining steel
 . By the end of the course, each participant will complete a functiona
 l project of their choiceâ€”such as a small box with a lid or a broom 
 with a dustpanâ€”while gaining skills that can be applied to future me
 tal fabrication projects.\nThis workshop meets Tuesdays, November 4 â€
 “ December 9, from 6â€“9 PM.\nWhat to Expect Each session combines dem
 onstrations with hands-on shop time, allowing you to build both confid
 ence and practical skills. Youâ€™ll start with shop orientation and sa
 fety, then progress into welding, grinding, and cutting exercises. Onc
 e youâ€™ve practiced the techniques, youâ€™ll apply them to your own p
 roject. The series culminates with finishing work and tips for applyin
