SUMMARY:Knife-Making with Darryl
DESCRIPTION:Learn to make your own knife in this weekend workshop with
  MakeHaven facilitator Darryl.  The plan is to make a Japanese style 
 Chefs knife, which is a very wide array of shapes, but to be more spe
 cific, we will make a ~6-8\" Chefs knife in one of three styles. (Gyut
 o, Santoku, Kiritsuke). All materials included.\nMust Bring\n\nClosed
  toe shoes (they will get sparks and metal flakes on it)\nLong Pants 
 (Not synthetics, they will melt, Jeans or working pants are great, jus
 t nothing tight fitting against the legs. )\nShirt (again no syntheti
 cs, you will want something breathable though. It gets warm working th
 e knives)\n\nShould/could bring\n\nYour own Safety Glasses, if you ha
 ve them. \nA block of wood for a handle. (If you have something spe
 cific or meaningful for you, bring it.)\nLunch (I plan for a working/o
 n the fly lunch so if you leave for food the class will still have som
 e topics and discussion points going on.)\nSomething to transport your
