DESCRIPTION:Join us for this information and ideation session will pro
 vide an overview presentation of the American Made Lighting competitio
 n, its goals and requirements for submission. \n$1,000 of incentives/
 prizes for local participant teams to submit a concept. 10 Concepts w
 ill receive $20,000 each; there are additional prizes for prototype an
 d manufacturing.\nParticipants will be invited to brainstorm ideas, t
 hen work in teams to draft ideas and pitches, with the goal of leaving
  the session prepared to finalize and submit an idea to the competitio
 n. This event will be held both in-person at MakeHaven and online via 
 Zoom.\nThe L-Prize targets commercial sector lighting, which accounts 
 for 37% of national lighting energy use, and encourages lighting innov
 ators to design lighting systems with breakthrough energy efficiency,
  quality, functionality, and sustainability.\n American-Made competiti
 ons, offered by the U.S. Department of Energy, are designed to reward
