SUMMARY:Mayors Community Arts Grant Program Information Session
DESCRIPTION:The Mayor’s Community Arts Grants Program supports the c
 ommunity by providing financial, marketing and technical assistance fo
 r arts and cultural related programs, projects and events which occur 
 in New Haven neighborhoods.   The goals of the program (note the prog
 ram goals have changed from previous years) are:\n\nTo foster the cre
 ation of arts (visual art, music, dance, theater, etc.);\nTo strengthe
 n social cohesion by creating opportunities for people of any age to c
 onnect and celebrate, both within and across cultures;\nTo Provide rig
 orous, professional-caliber arts training opportunities for young peop
 le;\nTo contribute to the development of equitable sustainable partner
 ships and collaborations across the community. To learn more about the
  program and program eligibility attend an upcoming information sessio
 n.\n\nThe 2015 application deadline is 5:00pm Monday, June 15.  Lette
 rs of Intent are due Friday, May 29. A series of Information Sessions
