SUMMARY:Modern Quilt Blocks: Break the Rules with Style
DESCRIPTION:In this hands-on quilting workshop, participants will expl
ore the bold, playful, and unconventional world of modern quilt blocks
. You’ll learn how to break away from traditional symmetry and embra
ce negative space, color contrast, and improvisation to create eye-cat
ching designs. This two-part class includes a follow-up Guided Making
session where participants can continue their block projects or bring
in another quilt to work on alongside the instructor and fellow makers
 .\nThis is a two-part class: November 2nd (instruction) and November 1
6th (guided making).\nWhat to Expect In the first session, students wi

ucting blocks using techniques like asymmetry, minimalism, and bold co
lor placement. You’ll work hands-on with a sewing machine and learn
how to design blocks that pop, using both guided patterns and improvis
ational methods.\nThe second session (November 16th) is a Guided Makin
g day—participants can return to build on what they started in the f
irst class or bring in a different quilting project to continue with s
upport from the instructor and their fellow participants.\nParticipant
