Event Description
I'm writing to invite you to a neighborhood clean up this Friday morning at 8:30am. I hope you'll meet us on the corner of Grand Ave and Bright Street and work together to take care of trash, leaves, and clutter. Feel free to join whenever you can between 8:30am and 11:30am -- let's show Fair Haven some tender love and care.
Please let me know if you can make it so we can get enough rakes, bags, and tools -- all provided thanks to the City of New Haven.
We're also really lucky that EMERGE's YouthBuild program will be in on this community service project. EMERGE YouthBuild exists to "unleash the intelligence and positive energy of low-income young people to rebuild their communities and lives."

I thought you should know that this announcement did not appear in my email (which I check regularly) until this morning — Friday — the day of the event. The time stamp showed that it was sent out at 12:31 a.m. of this same morning — meaning it was sent way too later for someone to plan to attend. I emailed you once before, earlier this year, about a similar problem with timeliness of announcements, and I know you wanted to follow up to figure out the problem, so I am letting you know that the same problem occurred again.
