On September 18th, 2010, we'll be celebrating the International Peace Festival. Fair Haven represents the unity of African American, Latino, White and Immigrant communities. Criscuolo Park is a wonderful location for the 2010 Peace Tree to symbolize justice and peace, and the goal to live in harmony. The City of New Haven Peace Commission is working with us as part of their annual program to plant peace tree in each neighborhood.
To make this event a success requires the participation of all sections of our neighborhood. We are meeting on Saturday, June 19th at 10:00 AM at 25 Saltonstall Avenue. If you're interested to be part of the planning committee, please contact Celestino Cordova (203) 641-8080 or Nilda Aponte (203) 449-9191. Thanks!
