Event Description
We will set up emulators so you can relive playing the classics and socialize. Free and open to adults 18+ Teens welcome with a legal guardian who stays for the event. We will have light snacks. BYOB welcome.
Emulators are software programs that replicate the hardware of old systems so you can run old software. In this case we are running RetroPi, which runs on Raspberry Pi, an inexpensive micro computer. RetroPi turns this credit card sized computer into a system capable of running lots of emulators, including emulating many classic games.
We will have members who have put together their own RetroPi systems. At the event they can answer questions about setting up your own RetroPi. Feel free to bring your own RaspberryPi. We can demonstrate how to get setup by installing with games from the home brew gaming community.
