SUMMARY:Sharpen Your Skills: Induction Forge Knife Making
DESCRIPTION:In this class, Ken will lead a group of 4 through the proc
 ess of forging a self-handled knife from 1084 high carbon steel, heat 
 treating it, then polishing and sharpening it.  These simple knives a
 re comfortable to use and will serve their user well for a long time.
  Properly made, they can be a reliable camping/hunting knife or the pe
 rfect kitchen companion. \nSome experience with basic metal tools suc
 h as grinders, files and such is helpful but not required. All materia
 ls provided. \nThis class happens over two consecutive Saturdays, bot
 h 11:00pm - 4:00pm with a 1hr lunch break while the knives are in the 
 kiln. MakeHaven has a refrigerator and microwave that participants are
  welcome to use, as well as many excellent restaurant/take-out options
