From the end of slavery into the 21st century, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have played a vital, but often unsung role, in educating African-Americans who traditionally had other doors closed to them achieve leadership in a variety of fields and professions as well as the Civil Rights movement. Learn more about the history and achievements of HBCUs from this fascinating documentary.
