Darkly colored, bitter, and slightly acidic, coffee is the most popular drink in the world. The earliest credible evidence of coffee drinking in the form of the modern beverage appears in modern-day Yemen from the mid-15th century in Sufi shrines, where coffee seeds were first roasted and brewed in a manner similar to current methods.
In this 3-hr class you will learn how to roast your own coffee beans on our Behmor Coffee Roaster as well as normal machine cleaning and maintenance. Try 5 different types of freshly roasted coffee and take home 1/2 pound of ready-to-grind beans.
No experience necessary. For members who have completed the online portion of the coffee roasting badge, this class will include facilitator check-out.
Join us for a relaxed Sunday morning of coffee roasting & tasting!
Light snacks will be provided, BYOSnacks is welcome.
