Fair Haven is a Diverse Community with a Rich History and a Beautiful Waterfront

2018 Spring/Easter Festival Saturday, March 31st at 1:00 p.m. at Chatham Square Park

Pre-Spring Greetings to All,

We saw our first robin of the season this weekend and we know that means the annual CSNA Spring/Easter Festival is just around the corner.  The Festival will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 1:00 p.m. at Chatham Square Park.  It is a great opportunity for our diverse neighborhood to celebrate the end of winter and to welcome Spring.  The festival is in its 10th year and was started by the Janke family of Downing Street.  They moved to Texas a while back, but other Downing Street neighbors took the reins.

As in the past, the Easter Bunny will attend this year and will be available for photos.  There even may be a short parade around the park.  Also, as in the past, there will be activities for the kids.  Chabaso Bakery will generously provide bread treats for participants.  We expect 275 or more people to attend.

Here are the items we need to prepare for the event:

  • unopened bags of individually wrapped candy
  • felt squares in spring colors
  • nontoxic crayons
  • nontoxic, water-based markers
  • packages of Easter/Spring stickers
  • plastic rectangular table cloths in spring colors (dollar store type)

The above items are needed no later than Monday, March 19th.  We understand that family schedules are often very busy, so if it is easier to provide a cash donation instead, please feel to do so.

Finally, we are in need of volunteers to arrive at 11:30 that day to clean the park and set up.  If you can help before or during the event in any way, please contact Sally by email at sally.esposito@snet.net or by phone at 203-530-5236. Thanks to all!
