  • CARE: Yale School Public Health Report – Alycia\Kathleen
    • Urban Walking Trail: SIGNS are IN! Beautiful!  Will be installed along the routes soon.  Great job Kathleen et al.

  • Economic & Community Development Christel\Lee
    • Dining out Night: XICOHTENCATL Restaurant 271 Grand Ave. Thursday September 24 at 6pm
    • Chatham Square Festival Report back: Great Job Hope, Tambira, and Liyana for organizing the successful festival…several hundreds of people came, great success. King of Harmony band were awesome, so was everybody else, musicians, volunteers, etc. 
    • Other Eco. & Community Development activities: At our Community and Economic Dev on Monday September 14, 2015, Karen Dubois Walton from the city was scheduled to come, but had to postpone; she will present her anti-blight strategies at our October meeting.

    • Homework Club at Q Terrace: MaryAnn: program started again this week.  Volunteers always needed.  Talk to Mary Ann. idea: bringing in Promise students.
    • Report on Community Gardens: MaryAnn\Nathalie
    • Halloween Parade & celebration 1pm 10/31: request for volunteers to distribute candies etc.  Contact Mary Ann or Sally

    • Strong School building Project (SPACe) Update Lee: MOU letter received!  This is big news. Next will be talking to investors. 
    • City Seed Farmer’s Market Thursday 3-6pm, until the end of October.
    • UI tree trimming and pole placement issues

Report on prostitution activity and arrests along Ferry street, Q terrace.  Warning: lock your cars and don’t leave ID info in your cars.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2015, FAIR HAVEN CLEAN UP organized by FH police team:

Southern CT State University will be dropping off  students in Fair Haven for a clean up.  Anyone interested in participating we will be meeting approx 09:30 at Ferry and Lombard, Ferry and Chapel, Grand and James, Grand and Perkins
