Fair Haven is a Diverse Community with a Rich History and a Beautiful Waterfront
On Saturday, August 6th from 11am-3pm, the Fair Haven Community Health Center and HAVEN Free Clinic will be celebrating their 40th and 5th anniversaries by hosting a big celebration for the entire community. There will be free food, fun games, Zumba demonstrations, entertainment, and raffle prizes for participants. This event will be held rain or shine in FHCHC's back parking lot at 374 Grand Ave.
The Fair Haven Community Health Center is a not-for-profit primary health care organization that has been dedicated to serving the greater Fair Haven Community since 1971. The Center’s mission is to provide excellent, accessible health care to the residents of the community, regardless of their ability to pay. FHCHC provides comprehensive health care – from prenatal to pediatric, adolescent to adult and geriatric, and serves approximately 14,000 people a year.
HAVEN Free Clinic is a collaboration of Yale Health Professional Students and the Fair Haven Community Health Center to provide free primary health care. HAVEN’s mission is to serve as a sustainable free clinic that provides uninsured adults in the Fair Haven neighborhood with primary care, wellness education, and assistance in securing health care; as well as to educate Yale health professional students about primary care and the value of working in health care teams; to allow students to gain experience in community health; and to expose students to the challenges of managing patient care with limited resources. Last year the clinic served approximately 350 people.
For more information please call Emilie Swenson at 203-777-7411 ext. 5307 or find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fhchc. This is an open event and all Fair Haven community members are encouraged to join the celebration of health care in Fair Haven!

We are proud and happy to have FHCHC as a community partner and a major employer in our community.
