Fair Haven is a Diverse Community with a Rich History and a Beautiful Waterfront
Dear Members of the Chatham Square Neighborhood Association,
My name is David Weinreb, I am a bilingual teacher at the Fair Haven School, a member of CSNA, and I have decided to run for co-chair of the Fair Haven Community Management Team for the November 1st elections (visit the website to learn more information: fairhavencmt.org). I am planning to meet with all alders and current management team executive team members to best understand this role. For those who don’t know, CMT meetings are held once a month in each of New Haven's police districts (we’re District 8, and we meet the first Thursday of every month at 6PM) to provide a forum for city representatives, businesses and residents to share information and address neighborhood issues. Everyone is welcome, and I encourage you to attend!
I am ready (and excited!) to more formally represent and steward this community, and understand this role requires outstanding coordination and partnership with thoughtful and progressive neighborhood advocates like you. I am a CSNA member and look forward to continuing the types of collaboration that we have seen in recent years. I have always been impressed and felt enriched by the deep knowledge the members of your association possess, and I too care deeply about creating and sustaining community and pride in our neighborhood.
I am looking forward to gaining your insights and perspective about our incredible community, and enthusiastically invite everyone to attend the October 4th FHCMT meeting (nominations), the November 1st FHCMT meeting (elections), and of course, to keep coming back!
Thank you,
David

Once again Fair Haven Community Health Care has been recognized as a high achieving health center by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HRSA), and has received the gold level designation. This places FHCHC in the top 10% of the 1,400 community health centers across the country and reflects our strong commitment to high quality clinical care. The full announcement can be found here.
We are proud and happy to have FHCHC as a community partner and a major employer in our community.
