A Diverse Fair Haven Community with Historic Homes and a Beautiful Waterfront
We are sad to be selling our home and leaving Fair Haven but are relocating for work later this summer. If anyone knows people looking for a home, please send them our way. We love our house and our neighborhood (it's where our boys have lived most of their lives!)—and would really love to have a young family or couple make their home here, too. …Continue

Pre-Spring Greetings to All,
We saw our first robin of the season this weekend and we know that means the annual CSNA Spring/Easter Festival is just around the corner. The Festival will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 1:00 p.m. at Chatham Square Park. It is a great opportunity for our diverse neighborhood to celebrate the end of winter and to welcome Spring. The festival is in its 10th year and was started by the Janke family of Downing Street. They moved…Continue

Hi, my partner and I (she's a farmer/teacher, I'm a playwright/teacher) are looking to rent a 2 bedroom apartment (or 1 bedroom plus office) in Fair Haven or Fair Haven Heights. Ideally near the river or some nice trees. Eventually we'll want to buy a house here, so if you know of a special house, we could be persuaded to skip the apartment-renting step. Could move in anytime between March 1-July 1. References available, and I'll write you a poem about your house, pet, or tree. Contact…Continue

Individuals and families earning less than $54,000 a year are eligible for free tax preparation at over a dozen sites in New Haven...spread the word! Regrettably, the Fair Haven site at the Columbus Academy on Blatchley isn't operating, but there are many others (I volunteer at the Emanuel Luthern site in East Rock, Sundays…Continue

Hey neighbors, I have a gas fireplace in my home that is not switching on even though the pilot is burning. I am wondering if someone out there who has a little knowledge about this kind of stuff could take a look. I use it for heat, so I am really hoping to get it up and running again. It is likely a small enough job that I am afraid none of the fireplace installation/repair companies will come out to check it out. I am hoping it is just a bad switch or something that we can easily replace.…Continue
