Hey neighbors, I have a gas fireplace in my home that is not switching on even though the pilot is burning. I am wondering if someone out there who has a little knowledge about this kind of stuff could take a look. I use it for heat, so I am really hoping to get it up and running again. It is likely a small enough job that I am afraid none of the fireplace installation/repair companies will come out to check it out. I am hoping it is just a bad switch or something that we can easily replace.…Continue

Hi Neighbors: We are going to Maine next week and have had a tough time finding friends who are in town (July 29–Aug 5) to house/dog sit. If you know anyone who might be interested, please share my contact information: email@example.com or text 315-237-2141.
If anyone is interested, I can provide details about house sitting and watching our sweet old dog, Nani. Thank you!

Just a few feet to the left, an activist steps forward, bangled, purple fist slicing the air triumphantly. The Quinnipiac River bridge beckons behind her...…Continue

We at St. James have been blessed with the generous gift of a challenge grant. For one year, up to a total of $10,000, which ever happens first, our anonymous donor will match whatever comes in above $1700 in a given month. So, if for example, in July our incoming donations are $1800 our challenger will match that extra $100. Our challenger would also match an overage of $1.00, and yet would definitely rather we think bigger than that! We St. James folk are committed to being a supportive,…Continue
