Fair Haven is a Diverse Community with a Rich History and a Beautiful Waterfront
Last weekend I was in Providence, RI - they have there an amazing public art understanding. The non-profit organization WATERFIRE is turning a downtown waterfront into an awesome performance arts scene... I was jealous. New Haven long time ago decided to cut off itself from the waterfront and very little of public life actually happens on the water, But a lot of that little happens on the Quinnipiac River... I wonder if we could add more? I got inspired in Providence...

Obviously, we would have to take into consideration the completely different geography of Quinnipiac River , here is where my scouting memories come. We cant't pull out a show like Waterfire in Providence, but we COULD learn from Scandinavian summer solstice tradition and have a giant bonfire on the water in front of the Grand Bridge Restaurant... Wouldn't that be a great sight? Summer solstice 2012 will happen on Wednesday, June 20th at 7:08 p.m. Eastern Time
I have got already some support for the idea from friends - but, need more. If you are in, and would like to help please follow up the conversation on the Quinnipiac Riviera Facebook Page... or comment here.
