Kathy,
Mayor stated that after paying for basic services and contracts the City has little money to incentivize businesses. Check with the Office of Economic Development as they are the ones that have the latest info on what is available and conditions. He cited the facade improvement program as an example; there is also the storefront project run by the Department of Cultural Affairs. Anyone who will be hiring people should also check out Recovery Act money through the Chamber to offset the cost of training employees.

Things have come up and I won't be able to make the meeting...questions I have:
What are ways that the City is looking to attract new businesses? Are there any incentives? tax breaks? How do you plan on keeping current business owner from leaving the City? can please ask these questions and post them ? Thanks Kathy
