American-Made competitions, offered by the U.S. Department of Energy, are designed to reward innovation and problem solving. Innovators work to transform big ideas into concepts and then prototypes ready for industry testing on a condensed timeline.
Competitors participate in three progressive prize competitions: the Ready!, Set!, and Go! Contests.
Ready! Contest - Teams focus on innovative ideas that will address a solar industry technology need, proving that they have developed a great team, a game-changing solution, and an achievable plan. 20 semi finalist will win a $50,000 cash prize and will move on to the next level (set) where they will compete for a even bigger cash prize. This competition is open to the public no matter your level of experience or expertise.
We here at MakeHaven are looking to collaborate with innovative intellectuals who share the same common goal and thats winning this competition. Is that you?!
This information and ideation session will provide an overview presentation of the competition, its goals and requirements for submission. Participants will be invited to brainstorm ideas then work in teams to draft ideas and pitches, with the goal of leaving the session prepared to finalize and submit an idea to the competition.
Free food and beverage included.
