This is the 5th annual canoe trip and one of the most interesting and popular annual events that the QWRA (Quinnipiac River Watershed Association)
and the New Haven Bioregional Group sponsor together each year. Our
city is surrounded by water and one of the unique ways to see
our life place is from our local waterways. We hope you can join us.
We will set in the water at 11 AM, paddle toward the mouth of the harbor and go north on the Mill River to the tide gates. We will then paddle back to the launch sight. The canoe trip will last about 2 hr.
When you come to Clifton St. there may not be enough parking in the public lot behind the restaurant, park on local streets and walk or carpool to the launch sight on Clifton St.
The canoe trip will be led by Mary Mushinsky and Martin Mador of the QRWA . At 10:30 we will get instructions about the canoe trip, sign insurance forms, and pay for the canoe trip.
You may bring your own canoe or kayak.
Please note if there are high winds or severely inclement weather on Saturday the canoe trip will be canceled. When you register, we will have your email address and will let you know if there is any change in plans.
