MakeHaven partnered with Gather New Haven to develop a program where they give disadvantaged young people (age 18-25) a summer experience in eco entrepreneurship and making prototypes for sustainable/environmental products at MakeHaven. It is a structured learning commitment of about 6 hours per week plus independent time to develop their prototype. In addition to learning at MakeHaven they will be getting coached on business development by Collab New Haven. The program still need about 3 more participants to this cohort. Each one gets $1,000 stipend for their participation over 2 months. It will get started Thursday next week.
