Today, millions of young people and adults around the world will flood the streets to demand climate action. Young people are speaking about the earth they will inherit, will we listen to them? In New Haven we will gather at 4pm on The New Haven Green, at the corner of Chapel Street and Church. Check social media or the website below to find the rally nearest to you. In the US, there are over 1000 strikes registered in all 50 states, and globally, we will be joining over 150 countries in our call for action. In addition to joining us on the streets there are lots of other ways to participate: · Going dark on social media! Update your profile pictures to this black circle. · Tuning into the muli-city live stream of the climate strike at www.strikewithus.org/live starting at 10am ET! · Visiting www.strikewithus.org/voting to check your vote registration status and learn how to triple the impact of your vote. This is the launch of a new era of the climate movement, one that will bring us the change we need to save our futures. It’s time that elected officials and world leaders take action to address the most pressing issue of our time. It’s our responsibility to make them hear us and understand that they need to step up and do what’s necessary to protect us from climate catastrophe. Take lots of good pictures and video, and remember to post on social media and use #strikewithus. Thank you for striking with us. Thank you for standing up for our generation. And thank you for being part of the movement that will save our future. Today, a movement will begin and history will be made. Let’s do this. In solidarity, US Youth Climate Strike Coalition |

Yes, I signed up for this weeks ago with one of the organizations that send me emails: Climate Strike Youth, 350 CT, Action Network, CT Roundtable on Climate, NRDC, Move ON, or maybe another one-not sure which one I'm officially "with' but I'll be there in black.
