The People’s Arts Collective and the New Haven Free Skool invite you to join us for a community celebration to kick off our fifth session of the New Haven Free Skool.
Levantate!: Community Connections Festival
Sunday, April 6 from 1-4 pm at the Atwater Senior Center (26 Atwater Street), New Haven, CT.
Join us for arts workshops, painting, live music, free food, and building up community connections!
For the last two years, the People’s Arts Collective has provided a space for people to share their skills, ideas, passions and experiences. With over twenty classes held at the People’s Arts Collective (formerly located at 212 Crown Street), we have built a strong network across New Haven. Along with classes such as Bicycle Repair, Black Film Month, Autism Awareness, Food Waste, and various arts workshops, we have also hosted events including an Art Opening for the Metropolitan Business Academy, music shows and open-mic nights.
Join us as we kick of our fifth Free Skool session and come help us build a cooperative, accessible, participatory and diverse educational community!
