A NEW HAVEN ACTIVIST GROUP IS FORMING.
A group of local artists interested in cleaning up the garbage all around us, and producing art inspired by the sites (they) we clean. Together, with us, these artists will target parks and waterfront locations where litter is abundant, clean up for an hour, then spread out some blankets to sketch, ink, paint, photograph, etc., the transformed places we find ourselves in. The project has receive promotion in New Haven Independent and the art work produced will have a spot as well. The project is done in partnership with the New Haven Dept of Parks & Recreation for guidance, gear, and locations in need of cleanup. Art supplies have been kindly donated by Artist & Craftsman Supplies.
