Make sure you come out to this "Safety and Quality of Life" meeting at the Atwater Senior Center (26 Atwater St) on Tuesday, 10/30, 6-8pm. And please take the initiative to spread the word!
This is our chance to speak directly with City Departments and decision-makers who can help address the many and urgent quality of life concerns that have been coming up in our neighborhood, especially below Grand Ave down Ferry Street to Chapel Street and to the Park. I need you to use your voice so we can be clear on formulating an action plan that will require a lot of collaboration from residents and City departments.
We're looking for more communication with the City, building a stronger relationship with City Departments that can help us get things done, and solutions-oriented suggestions around increasing quality of life in Fair Haven: looking at trash, lighting, hard drug use, homelessness, safety and traffic.
I'm really excited about this meeting!! Thank you so much to the residents who have stepped up to co-sponsor this event and help spread the word! I'm also really grateful that we can count on the support of State Representative Juan Candelaria (95), State Representative Al Paolillo, Jr. (97), and Alder José Crespo (Ward 16 - Fair Haven), who will be joining us on Tuesday, 10/30.
I'm also really encouraged by the number of decision-makers from City Hall who are ready to throw down and show up for Fair Haven. More to come, but confirmed attendance from City departments include:
If you have an issue you want to address at this meeting, if you'd like to be added as a co-host, or if you'd like more information, please feel free to reach out, text me, or e-mail me at ward14@newhavenct.gov.
Thank you for all you do to make our community stronger!
Yours as ever,
Kenneth Reveiz
