BLUMENTHAL VISITING NURSING HOME TO CALL FOR URGENT FEDERAL HELP
With devastating COVID-19 damage, nursing homes need PPE and other aid
Necessary assistance in Blumenthal sponsored legislation
(HARTFORD, CT) – On Friday, July 17 at 11 AM at the Mary Wade Home in New Haven, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) will call for additional federal assistance to support Connecticut’s nursing homes to aid in obtaining personal protective equipment (PPE) and other essential COVID-19 related expenses.
Blumenthal and U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) have introduced the Nursing Home COVID-19 Protection and Prevention Act, which would provide critical emergency federal funding to protect nursing homes residents.
