Special Community Dinning Out Night in celebration of National Food Day

Enjoy a great meal, visit
with neighbors, and support your community!

In commemoration of National Food Day,  all who attend this gathering will collaborate
with Grand Bridge Restaurant to donate 20% of the total bill for the meals
consumed that evening to Fair Haven area residents in need of food assistance.

We will donate the 10% discount
the restaurant normally gives us for CSNA Dining Out Night, and Grand Bridge
will match that donation with an additional 10%. The total will be used to
purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers through our local
Farmer's market. The Fair Haven Community Health Center will select people in
need of health dietary supplements from among their patents and prescribe these
fruits and vegetables. The healthy food prescription program already exists and
has been working successfully with a grant from Community Alliance for Research
& Engagement (CARE) at Yale School of Public Health in partnership with
City Seed, the Fair Haven Health Clinic and the Chatham Square Neighborhood
Association. However, they have run out of money so our help is really needed. Information about other New Haven Food Day activities is

This is a real win-win opportunity! We
eat great food and work with a good local business to help our neighbors in
need by providing access to fresh fruits and vegetables. So please join us and
invite a couple of friends, this coming Wednesday, October 26, from 6-8pm at
Grand Bridge Restaurant.
