Meeting minutes: February 2019

The Economic & Community Development group met on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, from 6 – 7 pm at Quinnipiac Marina, 315 Front Street. Present: Christel, Kirk, Lisa, David.

 

This was our first meeting of the new year. Agenda was Riverfest planning. We reviewed main components of event, which we had already planned for last year (see minutes for June and November 2018). Dates are set for Sat, May 18 (rain date next day). Various tasks were delegated, to be completed for our March meeting.

 

Christel:

--confirm dates with GNBM band and QRWA canoes

--invite Rafael, Bregamos drummers for 11 am time slot (backup: Tai Chi)

--contact Land Trust about plant sales (backup: Sound School)

--contact East Rock Brewing about beer tasting

--ask Natalie about Wacoma and Community Foundation grant

--contact IRIS about selling crafts

 

David:

--contact Music Haven about kid concert around 1 or 1:30 pm

--contact Community Arts Workshop about selling crafts

 

Lisa:

--confirm food arrangements with Boathouse (pizza slices, etc., to order) and Greenwave

--confirm Ian will sell photos
